Who We Are
Petsitter 365 is the brainchild of Black Dog Marketing CEO, Mike Linville. Mike is a former United States Marine that served overseas during Desert Storm. After the war, Mike went back to school and graduated from the University of California at Davis with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science.
Today, Mike runs three different marketing companies and holds certifications in MANY online marketing topics (see below).

When it comes to online marketing, there are a lot of different opinions on the “best” way to build your company presence. After designing, developing and executing thousands of websites and online marketing plans over the past 21+ years – these are the rules that we’ve come up with to provide pet sitters with the best performing marketing at a fraction of the cost.
- I believe in the 80/20 RULE – The 80/20 rule. Also called the Pareto Principle for you nerds out there, states that you get 80% of your results from 20% of your effort. How many of you feel like it’s the other way around? All the work with no results? The key for smart marketers is to know what 20% to invest in.
- DATA is greater than just about anything else. I realize that a lot folks like to work off of gut instinct and I feel like are times when that is the appropriate test – testing the safety of a situation, meeting new people, etc but when we’re talking about online marketing – – data is how we know what 20% to focus on.
- There are always AT LEAST 2 audiences for your website – Website visitors & Search Engines.
- ALWAYS, serve the search engines first.
